I have a Motorola Droid 4 running Android 4.1. I hope these scenarios make enough sense and someone might be able to answer this. Disable and uninstall applications without root Multiple apps installing. Technically, this wont totally remove the pre-installed app from your phone. Some apps cannot be uninstalled, but can be disabled through Settings. To uninstall the app: Open Settings > Apps > See all apps > Select the specific app > Uninstall > OK to confirm. To uninstall on Google Play, go to Menu > My Apps & Games > Installed > app name > Uninstall. Tap the trash can icon at the top right of the screen. Go to Settings > General > Apps and Notifications > select app name > Uninstall. Tap the check box next to each app you want to delete. I tried some app locker apps and found that AppLock - Fingerprint can lock down Package Installer app. Open the Google Play Store app and tap on your profile icon in the top right corner. I do want to see what happens if the app isn't active on the phone but I don't want ALL the non-stock apps disabled b/c then I wouldn't be able to pinpoint the issue. So the solution for you is to either disable that Package Installer app (or at least its component which is invoked for user confirmation) or find an app locker which can lock this system app. I don't want to really uninstall it unless I really have to due to specific setting I have in the app (like MMS settings for a texting app). I'd like to just disable it temporarily and come back later on.Ģ) There is an APP that I believe is causing my battery to die quickly. However uninstalling will most likely make me lose that info. I've tried doing a Google search for the answer but I am not finding any results on this.ġ) I have a game that I want to stop playing for a while (either because I am bored or I want to see if the app is killing my battery), but I don't want to lose my high score, settings, etc. I know you can disable stock apps but wasn't sure about what I am asking. Is it possible to only disable an app you downloaded from the Play Store without fully uninstalling it. CQA stands for Certified Quality Auditor.The CQA test app is an android app developed by Motorola and deployed on all their Motorola phones and Android devices by default, but it can also be found in Lenovo and other models of smartphone. I am not sure if this is something that is possible or not.
